Christmas Greeting from Zoran Cvijetić, President of the Serbian National Defence in Canada: On Christ’s Path, Let Us Preserve the Legacy of Saint Sava and the Kosovo Covenant
Serbian Orthodox faithful, wherever we may live, let us preserve our spiritual and national unity. On the occasion of the upcoming Feast of the Nativity of Christ, I extend my sincerest greetings to His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, the metropolitans, bishops, clergy and monastics of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Royal House of Karađorđević, the surviving members and followers of General Draža Mihailović, the surviving veterans of the defensive wars of the 1990s, all members of the Serbian National Defense, and to Orthodox believers in the Homeland and throughout the diaspora.
As we celebrate Christmas, the most joyous Christian feast, let us find a place in our prayers for all our brothers and sisters in Christ who cannot freely and peacefully celebrate the day of the Birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in their centuries-old homes, and let us hope that one day they will welcome freedom.
Celebrating Christmas in remembrance of the day of the Birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, let us remain united on Christ’s path, and let us follow and preserve the legacy of Saint Sava and the Kosovo Covenant. Serbian Orthodox faithful, wherever we may live, let us preserve our spiritual and national unity.
I wish you a successful and God-blessed Orthodox New Year 2026.
Peace of God — Christ is born!
Zoran Cvijetić
President of the Serbian National Defense in Canada
