Saint Nicholas – Church Patron Saint Day

Today, we joyfully celebrated the patron saint of our church, Saint Nicholas, with a beautiful Divine Liturgy officiated by His Grace, Metropolitan Dr. Mitrofan, together with Father Dragomir Ninković, Father Đuro Samac, and Father Dane Ilievski. The day was filled with prayer, fellowship, and the presence of many devoted parishioners.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:

• Our Church President, Vesna Pankerichan, for her unwavering leadership and dedication to strengthening unity within our community.

• Our choir members, whose heavenly hymns enrich every service.

• Goran and Jelena Kanlić, along with their sons Kosta and Lazar, who graciously served as this year’s Kumovi. We are also delighted that Velimir and Gordana Gavrilović have accepted the honor of serving as next year’s Kumovi.

• Our Circle of Sisters, for preparing a delicious lenten meal, with special mention to Marica Kalanić for making the delicious vegetable soup. The Sisters also beautifully decorated the planters outside the church, as well as the poinsettias inside the church.

• Our special guests from our sister church Sv. Nikola on Barton, Winona Chetniks - Ravna Gora and The Serbian National Defence Counsil of Canada.

• Our volunteers, who worked tirelessly to prepare and set up today’s banquet. Your dedication ensures the success of our parish events.

We were also blessed to announce that our site plan building permit has been approved and finalized! Be sure to watch the special announcement from our Building Committee President, Vlado Sobot in the attachments below. Thank you to everyone who never stopped believing - stay tuned for more information and next steps.

Saint Nicholas, the great Miracle Worker, holds a special place in the hearts of Serbians, with more than 600 Serbian Orthodox churches dedicated to his name. One of Christianity’s most beloved saints, he continues to inspire and protect travelers, sailors, fishermen, and all who seek his intercession.

Happy Patron Saint Day to all who celebrate Saint Nicholas!
